Fall Faculty Speaker: Professor Paul Fisher

Join us for WWC's annual Fall Faculty Speaker event with Dr. Paul Fisher.

"Hostesses, Circumnavigators, Watercolorists, and Exotic Dancers: How Nineteenth-Century Women's Culture Made John Singer Sargent." 


This year's Fall Faculty Speaker event will feature Paul Fisher, Associate Professor in the Department of American Studies. Dr. Fisher is an interdisciplinary scholar with a focus on American literature; he is a biographer of the James family and historian of the Belle Époque.  The event will be held at the City Tavern Club in Georgetown, with a wine and appetizer reception starting at 6:00 p.m., and Dr. Fisher's lecture beginning at 6:30 p.m.
